I enjoyed having the videos because I could always return back to them when I needed to. It wasn’t like an in-person lecture where it’s once off. The videos helped me to grasp topics on my own time as I never felt pressured to understand the topic in the lesson it is being taught in ( although that is better of course ) This also improved my attitude towards AP ( which made me more willing to put effort into the work ) because like I said, I managed the content on my own time, just insuring that I had everything buckled down before finals.

As a parent of a Grade 11 and Grade 9 who both do Annomalie Maths I have to admit that both my boys are very impressed with the Online lessons.
My eldest son attended the classes in Gr 9, then sadly in Gr 10 Annalie relocated and she offered the classes with an online option as well as attending classes at Merrifield. My son attended classes for the 1st 6 months and used to do the online lessons for extra revision. He enjoys the fact that he can slot the lesson in when his other school activities allow.
This year he is only doing the online lessons. With the feedback given by my eldest son regarding the online lessons I am confidently allowing my younger son to also only do the online lessons.
They both slot the lessons in when time allows and their minds are fresh. The fact that they can review anything covered at their own time and pace is also a great plus feature.
It is also really nice that the homework from the previous lesson also gets covered in the following week’s online lesson.
I must admit being “old school” and a parent wanting only the best for her sons I was a bit skeptical about the online lessons, but from the bit that I have watched I have to admit that I too am really impressed.

A superbly designed method of teaching that allows the scholar to cope with and get the absolute most out of this worthwhile mathematics course.
The introduction of pre-recorded lessons into the AP Maths program has definitely benefited all the students. The most beneficial part, I think, is that it allows the students to work at their own pace. This is an essential element in grasping the challenging topics taught in this program. One can watch the same explanation over and over until they understand. The pre-recorded lessons being uploaded onto the internet is also a great benefit as the students can access them at anytime and not just during class time. This helps them to understand any part of the homework they may have trouble with. All in all the pre-recorded lessons allow each and every student to get the most out of the program.

Annalie Eybers is an exceptional AP Maths teacher. The proof is in her record of 100 percent matric pass rate. So we were very pleased when she decided to do video teaching when she re located. This has worked very well with the videos being available to the students after the lessons for test and exam preparations as well. It is wonderful that someone with such a love for Maths and passion to teach can share her AP Maths lessonswith the rest of the world because of technology.
