I enjoyed having the videos because I could always return back to them when I needed to. It wasn’t like an in-person lecture where it’s once off. The videos helped me to grasp topics on my own time as I never felt pressured to understand the topic in the lesson it is being taught in. This also improved my attitude towards Advanced Maths, which made me more willing to put effort into the work. As a parent of a Grade 11 and Grade 9 who both do Annomalie Maths, I have to admit that both my boys are very impressed with the online lessons. They both slot the lessons in when time allows and their minds are fresh. The fact that they can review anything covered at their own time and pace is also a great plus feature. I must admit being “old school” and a parent wanting only the best for her sons I was a bit skeptical about the online lessons, but from the bit that I have watched I have to admit that I too am really impressed.

Teaching resource

Teachers whose schedules do not allow for preparation and staying up to date with the Advanced Programme Mathematics curriculum use our videos and assessments in class.
Each student registers with us and can watch the videos at home as revision as many times as necessary.

Accreditation

The IEB has established a division called the International Secondary Certificate (IEB-ISC). In the ISC, the Further Studies programmes are benchmarked by UK ENIC and are comparable to the overall GCE Advanced (A) level standard. The Stellenbosch University Unit for International Credentialing (SU-UIC) is responsible for the external quality assurance of the ISC which includes the Further Studies subjects. These subjects will continue to be available for South-African learners as extension programmes, in the same way as Advanced Programmes are currently offered.
